They even surprised me with a bottle of wine for my wife's birthday. It was a lovely gesture. The breakfasts were absolutely delicious, with a variety of options to choose from. The room was comfortable and clean, providing a cozy atmosphere for a good night's sleep. Although the decor was a bit tired and in need of an update, it didn't take away from the overall pleasant experience. The location was also convenient, with easy access to various tourist attractions. I would highly recommend this guest house for a fantastic stay.

The house is in need of some TLC, with noticeable lack of cleanliness in certain areas and scruffy paintwork. Some additional efforts in terms of cleanliness and maintenance would greatly improve the overall experience.

We had such a relaxing stay at Monterey Country House. The husband and wife team made us feel incredibly welcome and their knowledge of the surrounding area was essential for us as first-time visitors. The room was clean and comfortable, and the food was excellent. The location is absolutely beautiful, although the narrow roads and lack of signposting can be a bit challenging. we had a wonderful time and would definitely recommend this place.
